Can I mix Paw Heart Food Co. with my dog's current food?
Of course, you can mix our food with kibble. This is a great option for the budget conscious.
How do I transition my dog to fresh food?
We suggest blending Paw Heart with their current diet and transition over 10 days.
How much should I feed my dog?

How should I store my dog's food?
Your dog food will be delivered frozen. We suggest you defrost a week worths of food at a time in your refrigerator.
How long will it stay fresh in the refrigerator?
4-6 days
How long can I keep it frozen?
6 months
Can I refreeze thawed food?
Yes, depending on the method of thawing. If you thaw your food in the refrigerator and refreeze before 5 days
What's the best way to thaw a meal?
Thawing in the refrigerator is the best method, but you can also thaw using your microwave if you forgot to thaw sooner. We personally don't thaw using a microwave but it is perfectly safe.

How often should I order?
The best method is sign up for subscription and we will deliver to you either monthly or twice a month.
Do you offer subscriptions?

Can I pause, skip, or cancel my subscription?
Yes.
When will my order arrive?
After placing your first order and we process your subscription you will be added to our delivery schedule. We will deliver your first order with in 3-5 days. Following that order you will get your orders bi-monthly.
Do you offer local pickup?

Who prepares your food?
Every Paw Heart Food Co. meal is prepared in house in small batches with the same care we'd put into a meal for our own dogs. Before any batch goes out, it receives the approval of our official taste testers, Bowie and Paci. Quality control is a job they take very seriously.
Why did you start Paw Heart Food Co.?
Paw Heart Food Co. began with our own dogs, Bowie and Paci. When Paci struggled with allergies, we searched for a food that supported his health without compromising on ingredient quality. Along the way, we tried a raw diet, but after both of our dogs developed a serious bacterial infection, we knew we wanted a different approach.
So we started cooking.
What began as homemade meals for our own dogs has evolved into the recipes we proudly make today. Every meal is prepared in small batches using thoughtfully selected, human grade ingredients because we believe our dogs deserve the same care we give the people we love.
We launched with our Heritage Beef and Ancestral Chicken recipes, with Salmon and Lamb recipes already in development. Our mission has remained the same from the beginning: to help dogs live healthier lives so we can share more moments, more adventures, and more years together.

What makes Paw Heart Food Co. different from other fresh dog food companies?
We didn't start Paw Heart Food Co. because we saw an opportunity in the pet food market. We started because we wanted something better for our own dogs.

But what truly sets us apart is what we believe.
Dogs give us their whole heart. We believe they deserve food crafted with the same care. Our mission isn't simply to make fresh dog food. It's to help create more moments, more adventures, and more years together.
